Datalogisk and Improvin’ sign an international partnership.
The partnership means that users can now share data insights automatically between the two platforms, and more growers can access farm management and precision-ag tools as well as benefit from network effects in order to increase traceability and sustainability within the food supply chain.
Since 1987, Datalogisk has prioritized farmers’ need to increase the value of their produce. Today, farmers across Northern Europe use Datalogisk’s field management platform to optimize their crop production. The platform supports their daily decision-making and makes continuous production improvement possible by keeping track of essential farm and crop data.
”Food supply chain traceability and sustainability are becoming increasingly important for consumers, food manufacturers and regulatory authorities. This increases the value of primary data from the farms. Our partnership with Improvin’ has great potential, especially for our users who can measure the climate impact of their farming practices, and get compensated for their sustainable efforts, but also to drive increased awareness of the products we offer at Datalogisk”, says Birger Hartmann, CEO at Datalogisk.
”Today, we are present in multiple countries. Together with Improvin’, we are setting the international standard for delivering the necessary data flow in order to secure a more sustainable food production”, Hartmann continues.
Improvin’ accelerates the food industry’s transition toward more sustainable food production. With Improvin’s AI-powered platform, food companies can measure and report their Scope 3 emissions and verify their climate footprint, at scale. In addition, companies can actively reduce emissions in their own value chain by incentivizing growers and monitoring the ongoing progress with verified primary data.
“We see this partnership as a win-win and a good step towards more sustainable food production. Datalogisk can get increased exposure to more potential users, and our customers can make the day-to-day operations for their growers easier by providing automatic data sharing and quantification of emissions. This leads to more precise climate footprint calculations from primary data, and we see that the network effects have the potential to improve value chain connections and awareness all the way from producer to consumer”, says Joel Glemne, founder and Chief Product Officer at Improvin’.
