The project, co-founded by the European Union, aims to develop and implement an innovative platform, Improvin’, for sustainability monitoring and traceability of cereals within the food chain.

The innovation aims to address the challenge of integrating and quantifying sustainability values in cereal production and processing. By utilizing machine learning and data analysis, Improvin’ enables food brands, processors, and growers to trace, quantify, and enhance the sustainability performance of cereal cultivation.

Improvin’ is expected to achieve this by offering a modular platform that integrates sustainability values with product information and quality data.

This creates a structure for data throughout the entire value chain and allows for the evaluation of product sustainability alongside physical product quality.

The anticipated outcome is a well-developed integration engine for processing that enables increased sustainability in cereal production.

This encompasses improved traceability, reduced carbon footprint, higher revenues for processors and growers, and increased consumer trust.
